An idea born on the back of a napkin.

We’ve all had those nights when you are out with mates and after a couple of wines you come up with the best business idea ever. Usually a few more wines are consumed and the idea is forgotten, or you never have the balls to take it any further.

We drank the wines. We came up with the idea. We had the balls.

A Fanciful Notion is that idea unleashed onto the world.

Whimsy wine brings you one off (pop-up), small batch wines chosen for their quality, representing all that is unique and anticipated from a South Australian wine region. Whimsy wine is all about real people, real passion and great wines to share with your people.

Quiet Revolution wine have committed to providing a portable soapbox for people to spread their message to the masses. We promote, we donate, we do what we can.

Introducing Tricia.

Mother, vegan, friend and a dedicated wine taster. Running my first business from the front room of my flat in London in my 20s, I promised myself that I would always do the work that made me happy. This work makes me happy.  Partnering with my friend Tanya to create a business that we are passionate about has been a plan in the making for a number of years; we knew that we wanted to work together and we knew that we wanted to included other people in making things happen. My background is in media and management so it was important to me that we partner with talented and creative individuals who will help us to bring our vision to life. We have been fortunate to work with some amazing artists, wine makers and charities, and look forward to forming new partnerships and releasing fabulous wine.

Some of the big albums of my life:

Jeff Buckley – Grace
Michael Jackson – Off The Wall
Ronny Jordan – The Quiet Revolution
The Rollins Band – The End of Silence
Manic Street Preachers – The Holy Bible

Introducing Tanya.

I am a lot of things – mum, foodie, huge music lover, Netflix obsessive, hot bath loving and a wine fanatic. I believe that you should always buy the wine you enjoy the most, and drink it with the people you like the most. Professionally I am a bit of a Jack of all trades and master of none, with the last nearly 20 years being immersed in the wine industry in a number of different roles. My dream has always been to have my own wine label where I could source the wine that I wanted to drink and could be proud of, and finally with my best mate by my side. I have done just that.

The albums that bring the best memories for me are (there are lots so please feel free to tune out now – this is a product of many years of working in a record store):

Boy and Bear – Harlequin Dream
Dinosaur Jr – Bug
Foo Fighters – Colour and the Shape
Happy Patch – Oleander Land
Janes Addiction – Ritual de lo Habitual
Jeff Buckley – Grace
My Bloody Valentine – Loveless
Paul Dempsey – Everything is True
Pixies – Surfer Rosa
Radiohead – Kid A
Ride – Nowhere
Smiths -Hatful of Hollow
